Calculations for Exam Prep: Part 2

It is recommended (but not required) that students have completed the Electrical Administrator / Master Electrician Prep Course, or Calculations for Exam Prep: Part 1 prior to this class.

**This course is intended for students preparing for the Washington State Electrical Exam, and is not intended solely for continuing education credit. Course Description: Building on the fundamentals covered in Calculations for Exam Prep: Part 1, this advanced course prepares students for the more complex calculations found on the Washington State Administrator or Master Electrician Exam. The class will begin with a brief review of Power and Ohm’s Law, and dwelling unit calculations, before progressing into commercial demand factors, Full Load Motor Current tables, overcurrent protection, and conductor ampacity considerations. Students will also work through detailed multi-family and commercial load calculation scenarios using the NEC.

To enhance exam performance, participants will receive guidance on effective test-taking methods and strategies, allowing attendees to assess their knowledge and identify areas for improvement.

All participants will receive supplemental materials—including handouts, practice exams, diagrams, examples, and worksheets—that may be brought into the exam.
