Branch Circuits: History and Understanding

Course Description

Branch circuits are the portion of a wiring system that extend beyond the circuit protection device, such as a fuse or circuit breaker. This course will examine branch circuits, how they have evolved, and their relation to the NEC. Participants will be guided through a basic history of circuits; review Romex, Nob and Tube, and BX Wiring Systems; and learn how to calculate modern branch circuits as per the 2023 NEC. Supplemental handouts included in the cost of course.
