Today’s Exam

  • The Plumbing 1st Year Challenge Exam consists of 60 Multiple Choice and/or True-False questions related to the concepts technicians need to safely install, test, maintain, and repair many different types of pipe systems for residential, commercial and public buildings, as well as math, drawings, code and other critical job skills.
  • The content of this exam is based on the 1st Year NCCER Curriculum taught in CITC’s craft training classes.
  • You must receive a minimum score of 70% to pass (42 out of 60 correct).
  • You have 180 minutes to complete this exam.

Items Permitted in Exam Room

  • NCCER Plumbing Level 1, 4th Edition (year 2020)
  • Silent, non-programmable calculator

Not Permitted in Exam Room: If you are found to have any of the items below on you, it will be considered an attempt to chart on the examination and you will be asked to leave.

  • Cell phones are not permitted in the exam room. If you have a cell phone with you, please let your Exam Coordinator know right now so that it can be removed from the room.
  • Materials containing handwritten notes, markings or other notations are not permitted in the exam.
  • Sticky notes are not permitted in the exam.
